From dark to white . . .
The most economical face lift for a kitchen is to paint or faux the cabinets. Removing all the hardware and doors prior to sanding, priming and painting will make for a professional look. Replacing moldings, trim and hardware can also greatly enhance the cabinet appearance. Using a high-quality primer, and semi-gloss paint is non-negotiable. This kitchen took three days to go from a dreary, dark finish to a bright, cheery antique white finish.
